Cow Swept to Sea in Melaka Before Aidiladha Sacrifice

A cow intended for sacrifice during the Aidiladha festival in Melaka, Malaysia, took an unexpected swim in the sea after escaping its enclosure. The incident, which occurred on the night of June 6th, 2025, around 9:40 PM, was captured on video by a bystander and quickly spread across social media. The video shows the cow struggling in the dark waters of Pantai Tanjung Bidara, while several people on the shore attempt to help. "It was quite a sight," recounts one eyewitness, "We were all shocked to see the cow in the sea. We tried to get it back, but the waves were strong." The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Melaka was notified and is currently working to rescue the animal. The successful retrieval of the cow would bring a positive conclusion to this unusual event.
