Bus Driver Arrested for Drug Use in Malaysia

A bus driver en route to Kemaman, Terengganu, was apprehended on Tuesday following a positive drug test during a special Aidiladha operation. The Road Transport Department (JPJ) led the operation, collaborating with other agencies. "During this operation," stated a JPJ official in a press conference, "we inspected 620 vehicles, resulting in 60 receiving notices for various violations." The operation also uncovered 28 drivers without licenses and 139 vehicles with expired road tax or insurance. The positive drug test result underscores the importance of regular driver screenings to maintain road safety. Authorities are pursuing further investigation with the bus company.
