Mom's Plea: Low Hemoglobin in Infants and the Use of Totema
A Belarusian mother, Veronika Kuchuk, a neonatologist, recently shared her daughter Anya's nine-month health update on social media. Anya's monthly weight gain is excellent at 400 grams, reaching 7440 grams and 70cm in height. However, her hemoglobin levels remain low, at 103, slightly up from 101 a month and a half ago. Kuchuk consulted with a pediatrician who prescribed Totema to address the low hemoglobin. "We decided to change the medication," Kuchuk explained in her video. "The pediatrician prescribed Totema; we need to take it for another month, then do a blood test." This video highlights a common concern for parents and provides a relatable glimpse into the challenges of infant healthcare. The use of Totema, a specific medication, offers a point of interest for further discussion and research regarding its efficacy in treating low hemoglobin in infants.
