MONTERREY, Mexico – A local entrepreneur, known as Mariana Amazon Seller, is demonstrating how everyday shopping trips can be transformed into profitable business ventures through retail arbitrage on Amazon. Her recent video illustrates a strategy of purchasing discounted items from major retailers like Soriana and Walmart and reselling them online for a profit. Mariana, who identifies as a 'Million Amazon Seller & Coach,' showcased her process, which involves scouting stores for products on clearance. She emphasizes the use of the Amazon Seller application to scan product barcodes, verify their market price on Amazon, and calculate the potential net profit after accounting for Amazon's fees and the initial purchase cost. In one example, a Blippi plush toy bought for 349 Mexican pesos was projected to sell for 1,199 pesos on Amazon, yielding a significant profit margin of 52.20%. "I gained 2,000 pesos just by going to Soriana and Walmart," Mariana stated in her video, encouraging viewers to consider reselling rather than just consuming. She further elaborated that while the business model is straightforward, it requires dedication to learning, time investment, and patience. The entrepreneur is also offering a three-day live challenge to teach aspiring sellers the fundamentals of Amazon selling, noting that the cost will be less than half a tank of gasoline.
