El futuro de la IA, según Sam Altman
El CEO de OpenAI acaba de sentar las bases del futuro próximo de la IA y su impacto en la sociedad. Llega la era de la superinteligencia.
Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, has outlined a series of ambitious predictions for the advancement of Artificial Intelligence and robotics in the coming decade. According to Altman, by 2026, AI is expected to achieve the capability of generating new knowledge, moving beyond mere data processing. This development could significantly impact fields such as physics, biology, and medicine. Looking further ahead, Altman anticipates that by 2027, physical robots will be sufficiently advanced to perform daily tasks in the real world. He also foresees a future by 2030 where AI intelligence and energy become exceptionally abundant, with the cost of AI decreasing to levels comparable to electricity prices. This reduction in cost is attributed to positive feedback loops where AI assists in building better AI systems and enhances productivity. Altman suggests that while humans will initially be responsible for creating the first million humanoid robots, these machines will subsequently take over the operation of the entire supply chain. Despite these radical changes in work and discovery, Altman maintains that essential human elements like love, creativity, and play will endure. However, the way humans interact and acquire new knowledge is expected to be fundamentally different from any previous era.
