Over 100 Neglected Dogs Rescued from Brooklyn Home Following Resident's Death
BROOKLYN, NY – More than 100 neglected dogs have been rescued from a Brooklyn residence, authorities confirmed, after police responded to a report of a deceased woman at the property. Upon entering the home, officers discovered over 100 canines living in what was described as 'unimaginable filth.' Neighbors told ABC affiliate WABC that a 'toxic' odor frequently emanated from the house, and previous attempts by police to access the property had been unsuccessful. Many of the rescued animals were found severely matted and ill. In a distressing scene, one dog was reportedly giving birth as the animal rescue team arrived. The Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) has since provided an update, confirming that 68 of the rescued dogs have already been placed in loving homes and safe havens. The identity of the deceased woman has not yet been released, and her cause of death remains under investigation.
