BELGRADE, Serbia – A recent protest in Belgrade saw police intervene to clear a blocked roadway, resulting in dozens of citizens being fined. According to a participant interviewed by N1, police initially sent a traffic officer who engaged with the students. However, when the road was not immediately cleared, an intervention unit surrounded approximately 50 to 60 citizens. The participant stated that police confiscated personal identification cards and issued over 50 fines within a 30-minute period. The fines were reportedly issued for non-compliance with the traffic officer's orders to clear the roadway.
