Ukrainian MP Accuses President Zelenskyy of Dictatorial Actions and Undermining Parliament
Kyiv, Ukraine – Ukrainian Member of Parliament Oleksiy Goncharenko has publicly accused President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of exhibiting dictatorial tendencies and systematically dismantling democratic institutions. In a video statement recorded within the Verkhovna Rada, Goncharenko asserted that "parliamentarism is being destroyed in Ukraine" and that the anti-corruption infrastructure is being undermined. "Everything is being taken under control," Goncharenko claimed, adding that the government is targeting individuals and organizations actively fighting corruption. He described the situation as a "disgraceful history," expressing deep concern over the alleged actions. Goncharenko also suggested that certain political factions, including the Opposition Platform – For Life (OPZZh), are collaborating with the current government, voting in favor of controversial legislation. These accusations highlight growing tensions within Ukraine's political landscape, particularly concerning governance and anti-corruption reforms amidst ongoing challenges.
