One such driver, a 35-year-old man stopped on B?ketov Street, was found to be transporting passengers using an unlicensed mobile application. He was issued a fine for operating illegally. "The goal of this operation is to ensure the safety of passengers," stated A?bek ?abdulin, head of the Semey Road Traffic Police. "We are stepping up our efforts to monitor the roads and take action against those who violate traffic regulations."
