
Local Students Compete in Thrilling Tire Fitting Contest
Petropavlovsk Hosts Tire Fitting Competition: Students Showcase Skills and Passion Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan – A recent professional skills competition, "The Best Tire Fitter," highlighted the talent and dedication of young automotive students in Petropavlovsk. The contest, timed and judged on accuracy, showcased the precision and knowledge required in this field. Timur Moldabekov, a student at the Petropavlovsk College of Mechanical Engineering and Transport, participated in the competition. "I've enjoyed working with cars since I was little," Moldabekov shared, "I started by helping my father in the garage, and then I began disassembling, repairing, and assembling parts myself." His participation in the competition demonstrates the growing interest in automotive technology among young people. The competition involved six participants, each given 30 minutes to complete a series of tasks. These included tire removal, installation, and balancing. Judges awarded points for each stage, deducting points for mistakes. Andrey Orlenko, Deputy Director of the college, emphasized the importance of the profession: "This is a very in-demand specialty because cars are constantly evolving and require skilled technicians." The competition served as a valuable learning experience for the students, helping them gain practical experience and a deeper understanding of their chosen profession. The winners received diplomas and certificates, celebrating their achievements and encouraging future success in the automotive industry.
