Woman Apprehended After Allegedly Stealing 17 Perfumes from Sears in Cancun
Cancun, Mexico - A woman was apprehended by store security and later detained by municipal police on August 18, 2025, following an alleged theft at the Sears department store located in Plaza Las Américas Cancun. The incident, captured on video, shows store employees and security personnel restraining the woman near the entrance of the store. According to initial reports, the woman was accused of stealing 17 perfumes from the establishment. Footage from the scene shows a male security guard recovering multiple perfume boxes from a bag believed to belong to the suspect. The woman was subsequently escorted by municipal police officers from the shopping center to a waiting police vehicle, where she was placed in the back of the truck. Authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the charges or the identity of the individual.
