The first incident took place on Virginia Street near South Almaden Avenue, where a pedestrian riding an electric scooter was critically injured. Police confirmed that the driver left the scene but was later apprehended. "Surrounding streets are still closed to traffic," reported a news crew on the scene. A second hit-and-run occurred on southbound Highway 85 near Blossom Hill Road. In this incident, one driver fled the scene on foot following a collision. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) confirmed that all lanes have since reopened. While there's no word yet on an arrest in the second incident, the investigation is ongoing.
