Foul-mouthed Parrot Hendrix Finds Forever Home in Maine
Fall River, Mass. - Hendrix, a blue and gold macaw known for his surprisingly colorful vocabulary, has found a new home in Southern Maine. The parrot, who gained viral attention for his penchant for curse words, was rescued by a Massachusetts animal shelter in poor health. According to the shelter, Hendrix was suffering from malnutrition, having been fed an improper diet of human cereal and white bread, which led to him missing most of his feathers. Despite his challenging past, Hendrix proved to be quite the conversationalist, capable of whistling, saying polite phrases like "Cracker" and "Good morning, baby," and, notably, a string of profanities that earned him an "R-rated" reputation. Chantelle Rogers from Forever Paws Animal Shelter noted that while staff tried not to react to his swearing to avoid encouraging it, there were times they had to leave the room to laugh. The shelter humorously likened adopting Hendrix to "basically adopting Samuel L. Jackson" due to his explicit language. Despite his unique linguistic quirks, Hendrix's story garnered hundreds of adoption inquiries. The animal shelter confirmed tonight that a woman in Southern Maine has adopted Hendrix, promising to provide him with the care he needs.
