
Local Stylist Fatally Stabbed in Sunrise; Suspect Arrested
Sunrise Stabbing: 27-Year-Old Stylist Killed, Suspect Arrested Sunrise, FL – In a tragic turn of events, 27-year-old Hailey Hosford, a talented stylist and entrepreneur, was found dead early Wednesday morning in the parking garage of an apartment complex across from the Amerant Bank Arena. The incident unfolded when police responded to a 911 call from a man who was with Hosford, reporting he had been stabbed in the neck and throat. Upon arrival, officers discovered Hosford's body in a black Mercedes. A steak knife was found in the car. "Our family is destroyed. This is beyond horrific," said Rich Ehmke, Hosford's stepfather. A witness, Fred Gropack, recounted seeing Hosford's body in the garage before the police arrived. "There was a dead person just laying in there. There was blood on the car that was next to it," he stated. Police quickly apprehended Jackson Sagessse Jr., who was found with a knife that appeared to be from the same set as the one found in Hosford's car. Sagessse Jr. was tracked down to his apartment and surrendered to authorities.
