Strășeni, Moldova – A serious road accident occurred on Sunday, August 17, 2025, on the R1 Ungheni – Chișinău national road. The incident took place in the Strășeni district, near the 'La Badiș' restaurant. Eyewitnesses reported a severely damaged blue van at the scene, alongside a fire truck and other vehicles. Debris was scattered across the roadway, indicating the severity of the collision. The accident has caused significant traffic disruptions, leading to congestion on the R1 national road, particularly from the Bucovăț roundabout towards Ungheni and from the Pănănșești access road in the direction of Chișinău.
