Divisoria School Supplies Prices Remain Low, But Increase Expected Next Week MANILA, Philippines – Shoppers in Divisoria, Manila are rushing to take advantage of currently low prices on school supplies before a predicted price increase next week. News5 Frontline visited Divisoria on June 6, 2025, and spoke with several parents and students about their back-to-school shopping experiences. "We came all the way from Calumpit, Bulacan, to get uniforms here because it's much cheaper than where we live," said Mariif Rueda, a mother of two. "With a budget of ₱5,000, we can buy everything we need here. In other places, it would be impossible." The report highlighted significant price differences. Notebooks were available in bundles of ten for ₱150, while individual notebooks ranged from ₱15 to ₱35. Pads cost ₱25 for intermediate pads and ₱35 for yellow pads. Pencils cost ₱6-₱20, and ballpens ₱7-₱25. Glue cost ₱35-₱45, and crayons ₱25-₱100 depending on the set size. While the current prices offer significant savings, the looming price increase next week adds urgency for consumers to shop now.
