"Fergie.....you have been dethroned."
Chicago, Illinois Podcast sensation Alex Cooper, host of the popular "Call Her Daddy" podcast, faced a wave of boos from fans during her rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" at Wrigley Field. The incident occurred during the traditional 7th inning stretch of a Chicago Cubs versus St. Louis Cardinals baseball game on July 6, 2025. Cooper, appearing on the stadium's large jumbotron alongside two companions, led the crowd in the beloved baseball anthem. However, as her performance progressed, audible booing could be heard from sections of the audience. Despite the negative reception, Cooper continued to sing, concluding the song with a smile and a wave to the crowd. The unexpected reaction to the podcast host's performance quickly became a talking point among attendees and on social media.
