Zhodino, Belarus – Residents of the GRZ microdistrict gathered at School No. 1 to discuss pressing urban issues with local authorities. The meeting, held on July 24, 2025, covered a range of topics from housing and utilities to transport and healthcare. Key concerns raised by residents included persistent parking problems near the Belmarket supermarket and the need for repairs to sidewalks around School No. 1. Environmental issues were also on the agenda, with discussions surrounding the felling of 450 trees in a local park and plans for the renovation of Kukovatogo Park. In the realm of public transport, new travel cards valid for 2-4 trips over 60 days were announced. Furthermore, it was confirmed that school transport would be paid for during July and August, with the exception of routes to Minsk. Healthcare provisions were also a focus, with residents highlighting a shortage of dermatologists. Officials responded by announcing the expected arrival of a new endocrinologist in September, a urologist on a half-time basis, and 11 additional specialists. Residents were reminded that registry advice does not constitute medical consultation.
