Maria Salome, burned with hot tar at age four, recounts her ordeal: "My story is sad and heartbreaking." Javier, burned with hydrochloric acid at sixteen, describes the accident: "I thought it was gasoline." Johan, injured by dynamite at fifteen, recalls the explosion.
