The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration (OVA), Oleh Syniehubov, reported during a recent telethon that an estimated 4,500 people in and around Kupiansk are in need of immediate evacuation. "From Kupiansk and the Kupiansk district, another 4,500 people need evacuation," Syniehubov stated. While the Izium area has seen a stabilization of the situation, Kupiansk remains a significant concern. Currently, 1,600 people remain in Kupiansk, although all children have been successfully evacuated. This ongoing evacuation highlights the continued challenges faced by civilians in the region.
