Judge Caught on Camera Helping Illegal Immigrant Escape: Indictment and Video Evidence
Wisconsin Judge Indicted for Aiding Illegal Immigrant's Escape: Video Evidence Surfaces Milwaukee, WI – Newly released security camera footage from the Milwaukee County Courthouse is at the center of a federal investigation into Judge Hannah Dugan. The video appears to show Dugan actively assisting Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an illegal immigrant facing deportation, in evading ICE agents. The incident took place on April 18th, when federal agents arrived to arrest Flores-Ruiz on domestic battery charges. The video, obtained by WISN, shows Dugan directing Flores-Ruiz toward a private exit, bypassing the public areas of the courthouse. A federal agent is seen attempting to apprehend Flores-Ruiz in the hallway, but Dugan's intervention allows the immigrant to escape. Flores-Ruiz was later apprehended a short distance from the courthouse. "Despite having been advised of the administrative warrant for the arrest of Flores-Ruiz," federal prosecutors claim, "Judge Dugan escorted Flores-Ruiz and his counsel out of the jury door, not open to the public." Dugan's actions are now the subject of a federal investigation into obstruction of justice. Her arrest last month sparked outrage from Democrats, with her legal team denouncing the charges as "unprecedented and unconstitutional." Dugan's trial is scheduled for July 21st, with the charges carrying a maximum penalty of six years in prison. Protests in support of the judge have taken place outside the courthouse. The release of this video adds a significant layer to the ongoing legal proceedings and promises to be a key piece of evidence in the trial.
