Parents Are Divided Over Kylie Kelce’s Approach To Her Kids Having Cellphones
"super strict parents create super sneaky kids," one critic argued.
Kylie Kelce, wife of NFL star Jason Kelce, has revealed a surprising technology rule she plans to implement for her daughters. In a recent podcast interview, Kelce shared her intention to forgo individual cell phones for her children, opting instead for a communal "kitchen phone" system. "I have decided to not let them have anything," Kelce stated, referring to personal mobile devices. She elaborated on her plan, explaining, "We will be doing what I'm calling 'the kitchen phone'." This means there will be one or two extra cell phones available on the first floor of the house. Kelce clarified that these phones would be for essential communication, such as when the children are at activities without a parent present or need to get in touch. "They can take with them if they have somewhere they're going where there will not be a parent, or if they will need to get a hold of us," she explained. However, the key restriction is that these phones will remain in the communal living space, preventing them from being taken to private areas like bedrooms or the basement. This approach aims to provide necessary connectivity while limiting individual device dependence.
