Mexico City, MX – José Eduardo Derbez, the popular actor and son of Eugenio Derbez, has publicly addressed recent rumors suggesting he secretly married his girlfriend, Paola, in Las Vegas. During a recent episode of the 'Pinky Promise' show, Derbez clarified the speculation, stating that while he and Paola did consider the idea during a trip to the famous city, they ultimately decided against it. “It was in our plans, we love going to Las Vegas,” Derbez explained. “We enjoy the shows, the food is spectacular, and sometimes we like to escape there.” He revealed that during one such trip, they pondered the possibility of a spontaneous Las Vegas wedding. “We thought, 'What if we get married here?'” he recounted. “In our minds, it seemed very simple.” However, Derbez quickly discovered that the process was far from straightforward. “It’s not as simple as it used to be,” he noted, explaining that they encountered numerous requirements, including permits and specific procedures. “When we saw everything that was involved, we looked at each other and it was like, ‘Nah, let’s just go to a restaurant and a show, and that’s it.’” Derbez firmly denied that any secret ceremony took place, emphasizing his transparency regarding such a significant life event. “Obviously, if I got married, I would tell everyone. I wouldn’t have to hide it,” he asserted. He added that his mother, Victoria Ruffo, would undoubtedly be the first to know.
