From Sleepless Nights to Unbreakable Bonds: A Mother's Journey
Sleep Deprivation's Toll: A Single Mother's Story In a recent social media post, a single mother from the US, using the nickname "plzdontbuythat," shared her powerful story of overcoming extreme sleep deprivation. For two years, her son refused to sleep anywhere but in her arms, leaving her exhausted and desperate. "I was so sleep-deprived I thought I was going to die," she shared in her video. The video captures the emotional toll of this experience, showing her holding her son, clearly tired and worn down. However, her story has a positive ending. After her son reached two years old, he finally began sleeping independently. "He was 2 years old the first time he ever fell asleep without me rocking him because he had HFM and was beyond physically exhausted," she explains. This marked a turning point in their lives, strengthening their bond. She concludes, "I don't know how I made it to be honest. Trauma has blocked so much of it out. But our babies need us. I never gave up and now we have the most incredible connection and securest attachment, and I'd do it all over again because it's the greatest feeling in the world." Her story is a testament to resilience and the unbreakable bond between a mother and child, offering hope to other parents facing similar struggles.
