
Guatemala's National Civil Police Launches New Teaching Specialty Program for Officers
Guatemala City, Guatemala – The Subdirección General de Estudios y Doctrina (SGED) of the National Civil Police (PNC) has announced the launch of its 'Police Teaching Specialty' program, Convocatoria No. 06-2025. This initiative aims to enhance the academic and professional capabilities of PNC personnel. According to the official announcement, eligible candidates must belong to the basic and subaltern officer scales of the National Civil Police. A key requirement includes a minimum of four years of service, along with a completed curriculum or a technical-level degree or licensure. The program offers several benefits to its participants, including a specialized Police Teaching bonus, structured work and rest plans aligned with teaching residency, and opportunities for personal and academic growth through diplomas, master's degrees, and other national and international programs. Participants will also have the chance to teach at universities that have agreements with the police institution, imparting subjects based on their expertise and academic preparation. This program underscores the PNC's commitment to continuous professional development and strengthening the educational foundation within its ranks.
