Kyrgyzstan's Equestrian Team Wins Silver at Prestigious Kazakhstani Marathon The national equestrian team of Kyrgyzstan achieved a remarkable victory at the "Uly dala zholygy" international horse marathon held in Kunaev, Kazakhstan, from May 9th to 14th. This challenging 500-kilometer race, spanning five grueling days across the Kazakh steppe, attracted 19 teams from across Kazakhstan and six international teams, including Russia, South Africa, Hungary, Iran and Kyrgyzstan. Only five teams managed to complete the entire course. The Kyrgyz team, guided by coach Izat Syrgak uulu and team leaders Kubanych Ryskeldiev and Adil Musulmanov, showcased exceptional skill and endurance. Team members Ataibek Rakhatov, Shailobek Joloman uulu, Bolotkan Subanaliev, Zhasar Toguzbaev, and Aslanbek Chonoev demonstrated remarkable horsemanship, navigating the demanding terrain and fierce competition. Their combined time of 32 hours, 26 minutes, and 57 seconds earned them a well-deserved second-place finish. "It was an incredible experience," said Shailobek Joloman uulu after the race. "The competition was intense, but the spirit of teamwork and the bond with our horses carried us through." The victory highlights the growing strength and skill of Kyrgyzstan's equestrian athletes on the international stage. Their performance serves as an inspiration to aspiring riders and a testament to the dedication and training that fuels their success.
