PVL Rookies Draft 2025: La Salle Legacy Continues with Soreño and Malaluan The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Rookies Draft 2025 saw two former De La Salle University standouts, Jyne Soreño and Alleiah Malaluan, drafted into professional teams. The event, held in the Philippines, highlighted the ongoing influence of La Salle's volleyball program. Soreño, selected by Chery Tiggo, expressed excitement about the opportunity: "Sobrang excited talaga kasi since senior high school pa ako sa La Salle, kasama ko na sila sa F2. So ngayon, looking forward talaga ako na ano na yung connection eh, andun na yung connection namin." (I'm really excited because since senior high school I've been with them in F2, so now I'm really looking forward to the connection, that connection is there.) Malaluan, drafted by PLDT High Speed Hitters, shared similar sentiments, emphasizing the comfort of the La Salle connection within her new team. "Actually, to be honest, I'm really grateful and sobrang minamanifest ko talaga mag PLDT because I mean, andun na yung team ko."
