Lyann de Guzman, Ateneo Volleyball Star, Excited for New Chapter with Nxled Chameleons MANILA, Philippines – Ateneo de Manila University volleyball standout Lyann de Guzman is embracing a new challenge after being drafted fourth overall by the Nxled Chameleons in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Rookie Draft. The outside hitter expressed her excitement in a post-draft interview, highlighting the opportunity to learn from a new coach. "I'm very happy," de Guzman shared. "I didn't expect to be drafted so high, but I'm really excited to play with the team." She also noted that the team is relatively new, offering a chance to contribute to its development. De Guzman's experience playing under Brazilian coach Sergio Veloso in college has prepared her for this transition. She's now looking forward to working with Italian coach Ettore Guidetti. "It's another opportunity for me to improve my skills," she said, emphasizing the differences in coaching styles.
