A group of French adventurers recently completed a three-day, 34-kilometer trek across Mont Ventoux in Provence, France, offering a unique perspective on the iconic mountain. The expedition, which commenced with public transport to Sault, guided hikers through the diverse landscapes of the Mont Ventoux Regional Natural Park towards the village of Bédoin. A distinctive element of their journey included overnight stays in historic shepherd's huts, locally referred to as "jas." Participants reported encountering significant winds, a characteristic feature of the region, and even assisted in reuniting a lost dog with its owner. The adventure culminated amidst picturesque Provençal scenery, highlighting the area's natural beauty and cultural heritage. The group has shared their detailed itinerary, encouraging other enthusiasts to explore the region on foot.
