The alert, issued on May 28, 2025, warns of heavy rains, thunderstorms, and the potential for frost in the valleys. "The cold front is expected to bring significant temperature drops," said a SENAMHI spokesperson in an interview featured on Red Uno. "We are urging residents in the affected areas to take all necessary precautions." Videos shared on social media show heavy rain and strong winds in several cities. The cold front is expected to persist through at least May 31st. Temperatures in the valleys are expected to be between 3°C and 12°C. The affected departments include Santa Cruz, Beni, Pando, La Paz, Cochabamba, Chuquisaca, and Tarija.
