Manfred Reyes Villa Proposes Fuel Law to Guarantee Diesel Supply for Bolivia's Productive Sector
La Paz, Bolivia – During the 'Foro Agropecuario' event, political candidate Manfred Reyes Villa outlined his proposed measures to ensure a stable supply of diesel for Bolivia's productive sector. Reyes Villa, representing APB-SÚMATE, highlighted a recently introduced fuel law, developed in collaboration with Deputy Roca, as a key component of his strategy. "We don't need to be in government; the solution is already there," Reyes Villa stated, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. "We have presented a law for fuels, and we are waiting for its immediate approval." The candidate also stressed the importance of securing financial resources. "With the dollars, according to the meeting we had in Cochabamba with the two candidates present here, we have managed to get the Supreme Electoral Tribunal to call for the approval of credits," he explained. "These credits are not to support the government, but to give oxygen to the country so it has gasoline and diesel." Reyes Villa's remarks underscore the ongoing national debate surrounding fuel availability and its impact on Bolivia's economic stability and agricultural output, positioning the proposed legislation as a vital step towards addressing these challenges.
