Rodríguez emphasized that this stance prioritizes dialogue and consensus as fundamental tools for resolving societal conflicts, aiming to avoid confrontational discussions and physical altercations. During the interview, the candidate was directly questioned about his perceived ties to the Socialist International. Rodríguez stated, 'No, I have never been a part of the Socialist International.' He acknowledged, however, that he has actively participated in numerous international events, including the São Paulo Forum, and has engaged in extensive conversations with various left-wing leaders, personalities, and former presidents from around the world. He reiterated that his involvement in these international activities did not signify formal membership or alignment with the Socialist International itself.
