Camacho Ordered to Attend 'Decretazo' Trial In Person, Family to Cover Transfer Costs

La Paz, Bolivia – Luis Fernando Camacho, currently held at Chonchocoro prison, must be transferred to attend his trial in the 'Decretazo' case, following a recent ruling by the Constitutional Court. This mandate obliges the director of San Pedro de Chonchocoro Penitentiary Center to ensure Camacho's physical presence at the oral hearing. According to a representative, the court's decision, issued yesterday, overturns previous attempts to modify the opening order for the trial. "The oral trial within the case known as 'Decretazo' must be conducted in person, and in no other manner," stated the representative, emphasizing the lack of alternative options for state entities that have previously sought to delay the proceedings. It was confirmed that Camacho's family will be responsible for covering all expenses related to his transfer, including airfare and the costs for necessary escorts. The representative noted that notification was provided to the prison director more than ten days in advance to facilitate the transfer for the hearing scheduled for July 25.
