La Paz, Bolivia – With the general elections scheduled for August 17, 2025, the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) of Bolivia, in collaboration with Red Uno, has conducted a comprehensive electoral simulation to familiarize citizens with the voting process. The simulation, detailed in a recent broadcast, outlines each stage from the opening of polling stations to the final count. According to the simulation, electoral notaries and jurors will be present at polling stations from 5 AM to ensure the secure environment is ready. Voters will need to present their identity cards, which will be accepted even if expired for up to one year. The voting process officially begins at 8 AM, with the president of each polling station announcing the start. Priority will be given to individuals with disabilities, those over 60, pregnant women, and those with babies under one year old. Candidates are also among the first to cast their votes. Upon presenting their ID, voters will have their details verified against the electoral roll by the secretary. Once confirmed, the voter will sign and provide a fingerprint. The president of the polling station will then present a blank ballot to the voter, demonstrating that it has no prior markings. Voters will proceed to a reserved area to mark their preferred candidate. After marking, the ballot will be folded and deposited into the ballot box. Finally, the voter will receive their identity card back along with a voting certificate. The simulation also covered the closing procedures, including the proper filling of the electoral act and photographic documentation for transparency.
