Tusványos, Hungary – Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has announced the establishment of the Digital Civil Circle, a new initiative aimed at unifying right-wing, civic, Christian, and conservative communities within the virtual space. Speaking at the annual Tusványos Free Summer University and Student Camp, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of organizing in the digital realm, which he described as currently an "enemy territory" for these groups. The announcement was met with immediate support from several prominent Hungarian public figures. Among those who have reportedly joined the Digital Civil Circle are Kossuth Prize-winning singer Miklósa Erika, producer Rákai Philip, Széchenyi Prize-winning Hungarian historian and director of the House of Terror Museum Schmidt Mária, and well-known rapper Dopeman. The initiative allows participants to form their own sub-circles within the larger framework. Prime Minister Orbán stated that the new platform is essential for those who uphold civic, non-leftist, non-progressive, and non-liberal convictions, which he claims are often attacked, ridiculed, and abused in the current digital landscape. The Digital Civil Circle seeks to provide a platform for these communities to protect their dignity and advance their values online.
