Explosive Device Thrown at Zagreb Cafes: Residents Fear Rise in Crime

Zagreb's Prečko neighborhood was shaken by an incident on May 28th, 2025, when an explosive device was thrown at two local cafes, resulting in shattered windows and widespread concern among residents. Police responded swiftly and spent much of the day and night investigating the scene, collecting evidence. One resident, Božica Hudinec, told RTL Direkt, "I think someone came by car for no reason, I don't know." Another resident, Nenad Čolak, expressed concern about the increasing number of incidents in the area, stating, "There have been various events in recent months."
