Durban Police Kill Four Suspects After Botched Cash Heist
Durban Police Shoot Dead Murder Suspect and Three Armed Robbers A major police operation in Durban, South Africa, resulted in the death of four suspects, including the key suspect in a recent murder case. The incident unfolded late last night, following an unsuccessful cash-in-transit heist. According to a police spokesperson interviewed at the scene, "The team has been working overnight... we know of an incident that happened where, unfortunately, a six-year-old was injured and an adult male was shot dead as well." The robbery attempt failed because the robbers miscalculated the amount of explosives needed to open the safe. The suspects then engaged in random gunfire, injuring bystanders. Three suspects were found in different areas around the city. "They were located in two different areas in and around the city," the spokesperson stated, adding that all three were fatally wounded. One of the deceased was a former Fidelity employee, dismissed for unspecified reasons. The police believe this suggests inside knowledge of the heist operation. The police investigation continues.
