DBR Uncovers 6 Million UAH Military Food Supply Embezzlement Scheme
Kyiv, Ukraine – The State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) has uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme involving the embezzlement of 6 million UAH intended for food supplies to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The DBR announced that executives of private companies collaborated with military officials to falsify documents, creating the illusion of food deliveries to military units while warehouses remained empty. According to the investigation, nine individuals have been implicated in the scheme, including directors of the supplying companies and employees of the AFU food service. These individuals allegedly falsified acts and inflated supply volumes, diverting funds for personal gain. "This is not merely an abuse of power," stated a DBR representative. "This directly impacts our soldiers, who are left waiting for rations that never arrive." The DBR emphasized the severe consequences of such actions, especially during a period of ongoing national defense efforts. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to be released as the case progresses.
