Miguel Assal, agente de emergencias SAMU: 'Una aspirina te puede salvar la vida…
Esta medicación es un antiagregante, la cual puede licuar la sangre si el trombo no es muy potente
In a recent viral video, emergency professional Miguel Assal shared crucial first aid steps that could be life-saving during a heart attack. Assal emphasized two immediate actions: ensuring emergency services can access your home and taking aspirin. "If you feel symptoms of a heart attack, first, take out your phone and open the door to your house," Assal advises. "If you become unconscious, emergency services won't be able to enter, which will delay their help, and time is critical for the heart." He then highlighted the often-underestimated role of aspirin. "Go to the kitchen and grab an aspirin," he instructed. "Aspirin, which many people have stigmatized, can actually save your life during a heart attack." He clarified that this advice is not his personal opinion but is supported by guidelines from the American Heart Association. "In those first minutes when a clot has formed, aspirin acts as an antiplatelet, thinning the blood," Assal explained. "If the clot is not very potent, taking aspirin, especially chewed for faster effect, can resolve the clot and save your life." He recommended 300 milligrams for immediate action, or 100 milligrams if the person is a chronic patient already taking aspirin. This timely advice underscores the importance of knowing basic first aid for cardiac emergencies.
