Sofija Milosevic on Life Abroad and Why She Always Returns to Serbia
In a recent podcast interview, renowned model Sofija Milosevic shared her candid thoughts on living abroad versus in her native Serbia. Milosevic, known for her international career, expressed a profound appreciation for her home country, emphasizing the unique quality of personal relationships and the strong sense of community she experiences there. "I knew I would live abroad, but I always knew I would return to Serbia," Milosevic stated. "Nowhere else, except in Serbia, do you have that moment where you can call a friend and say, 'Hey, let's grab coffee in an hour.' That feeling of closeness you have with your own group of people simply isn't there elsewhere." She acknowledged the economic advantages and better opportunities often found abroad but maintained that the human connections in Serbia are healthier and more profound. Milosevic also touched upon her upbringing, revealing, "I grew up without a father, with my mother and brother. My mother always trusted me greatly and knew that even if I went away young, I wouldn't do anything foolish." Milosevic's reflections highlight a common sentiment among those who have experienced life in different countries, underscoring the intangible value of home and deep-rooted relationships over material benefits.
