Bodrum, Turkey - A recent undercover investigation by a luxury bag enthusiast in Bodrum, Turkey, has shed light on the thriving market for counterfeit designer handbags, revealing astonishing price differences compared to authentic items. The investigation, conducted by a representative of 'Sellier Knightsbridge,' a luxury bag platform, involved visiting local shops in Bodrum that openly sell high-quality replicas of renowned brands. The video showcases a wide array of fake luxury bags, including detailed replicas of Hermes Kelly and Birkin bags. During the visit, the investigator was quoted a price of €600 for a Mini Kelly replica, and a 'Picnic' Birkin replica, which typically resells for around £70,000, was offered for just €750. These prices highlight the stark contrast with the original designer items. In a particularly striking comparison, the investigator's friend, Sophie, who had recently purchased a genuine Miu Miu bag in London for £1000, discovered an identical, newly released copy available in the Turkish shop for a mere €280. The shop owner even commented on the London price, finding it 'so cheap' in comparison to their own replica. This exposé underscores the accessibility of high-quality counterfeit luxury goods in certain markets, raising questions about consumer choices and the global trade of replicas.
