Prominent Slovak News Anchor Quits Markíza TV, Citing Unreasonable Work Demands
Viktor Vincze, a well-known anchor for Televízne noviny on Markíza, has announced his departure from the network. Vincze stated that he was offered a significantly increased workload – four times the amount of work and twice the number of days – without any increase in salary. He described the offer as "unreasonable" and stated that "any employee who can distinguish black from white, day from night, a sincere offer from a purposeful one, would have rejected it." His departure follows that of Michal Kovačič, who was also dismissed from the network. The circumstances surrounding both departures have sparked speculation about potential political interference within Markíza. The network has not yet issued an official statement regarding Vincze's departure.
