Які речі краще купувати вживаними? Дійсно, секонд-хенд – це не лише про економію, це й спосіб знайти якісні та унікальні речі.
Kyiv, Ukraine - In a recent viral video, local style expert "Style Outcast" shared his top three fashion items that savvy shoppers should consider buying secondhand rather than new. His advice focuses on maximizing value and quality in an era of fast fashion. First on his list are classic blazers. "The cut and material of older blazers, especially those made from wool or linen, are often superior to what you find new on the market today," he stated. He noted that while new blazers can cost thousands, a high-quality used one might be found for a fraction of the price. Next, Style Outcast recommended classic straight-leg jeans, citing models like Levi's 501s and 505s. He explained, "Jeans actually look better when they're a bit worn." He emphasized that the fabric quality of vintage denim is often significantly better than that of new, cheaper alternatives, creating a "huge gap in quality." Finally, he highlighted wool sweaters. With new wool or cashmere sweaters often starting at $150 and going much higher, he pointed out that secondhand markets are flooded with high-quality options. He advised shoppers to check the fabric label for wool, cashmere, or alpaca and visually inspect the shoulders and overall length for stretching or deformation, which can occur if sweaters are improperly stored on hangers. "If the label says wool and it's not stretched, just buy it," he concluded, noting that used sweaters can be found for a few hundred hryvnias. His tips aim to help consumers make more informed and sustainable fashion choices.
