Engineer Arrested in Odesa for Spying for Russia
Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) announced the arrest of a 47-year-old engineer in Odesa Oblast suspected of spying for the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB). The engineer, a local resident, allegedly sought to obtain classified documents related to the production of components for advanced Ukrainian military equipment. According to the SBU, the engineer was identified during a preemptive operation, before sensitive information was compromised. "This arrest underscores the ongoing threat of Russian espionage and the SBU's commitment to safeguarding Ukraine's defense capabilities," stated an SBU spokesperson. The confiscated documents, partially shown in the video, are currently under review. The arrest serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and robust counterintelligence measures during wartime.
