Seville, Spain – As temperatures rise, many drivers seek ways to maximize their car's air conditioning efficiency. Juan José Ebenezer, a mechanic from Seville, recently shared practical tips to help vehicles cool down faster, especially after being parked in the sun. Ebenezer emphasizes that the first step upon entering a hot car is to lower all windows. "It's not just the outside heat; the car's interior components also absorb and radiate heat," he explained. By opening the windows, trapped hot air can escape, allowing the air conditioning system to work more efficiently from the start. Another crucial tip involves the air conditioning settings. Ebenezer advises drivers to initially set the AC to draw in fresh air for a short period to further purge hot air from the cabin. After a few minutes, switching to the recirculation mode will then allow the system to cool the already-cooled interior air more effectively, leading to a quicker drop in temperature. He also highlighted the importance of regularly checking and replacing the cabin air filter, as a clogged filter can significantly impede airflow and cooling performance. These simple maintenance steps can help drivers enjoy a cooler ride during warm weather.
