Exclusive: Nothing doesn't want you to stress about the chipset
London, UK – Nothing Technology has officially unveiled its highly anticipated Nothing Phone (3) in London, with TechRadar getting an exclusive hands-on preview. The new device marks a significant evolution in Nothing's design philosophy and hardware capabilities, positioning it as the brand's "first true flagship." The Phone (3) retains a classic modular aesthetic but introduces a refined rear panel. Gone are the linear Glyph lights of previous models, replaced by a dedicated interactive Glyph Matrix display in the top-right corner of its 6.67-inch rear panel. This new screen can display notifications, app information, and timers, and also offers person-specific alerts and even acts as a pixelated viewfinder for selfies. A small red dot on the back now illuminates when recording video with any of the three rear cameras. Photography capabilities see a substantial upgrade with a triple-lens 50MP setup, featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The front-facing camera also boasts a 50MP sensor, a notable improvement over its predecessor. Under the hood, the Nothing Phone (3) is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, promising a significant performance boost. It is paired with a robust 5150 mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 65W fast charging, capable of reaching 50% charge in just 19 minutes. The device also features an IP68 dust and water resistance rating and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Pre-orders for the Nothing Phone (3) opened on July 4th, with the device starting at 799 in all regions, placing it in direct competition with high-end flagships such as the iPhone 16, Samsung Galaxy S25, and Google Pixel 9.
