Recaș Advances Education and Sports Infrastructure with PNRR Funding

RECAȘ, Romania – The city of Recaș is making significant strides in modernizing its educational and sports facilities, thanks to three major projects funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). These initiatives aim to enhance learning environments and improve energy efficiency across local institutions.Mayor Aurel-Adrian Pavel stated, "We met to discuss the three projects funded by PNRR: equipping classrooms with digital equipment and modern furniture, thermal rehabilitation of the high school, and thermal rehabilitation of the sports hall." He emphasized the importance of these investments, noting that the future of the entire community starts in the classrooms, ensuring better accessibility to education. One key beneficiary is the Recaș Theoretical High School, where 22 classrooms have been outfitted with new furniture, including modular desks and chairs, storage cabinets, shelves, and magnetic boards. Additionally, IT equipment such as printers, displays, portable scanners, computers, laptops, and conference cameras have been provided.Mirela Serafim, Director of Recaș Theoretical High School, expressed her satisfaction: "I am happy to be at the stage where I can say, yes, the equipment has arrived. We are in the biology laboratory, where the furniture, storage furniture, benches, chairs are complete. In total, there are 22 classrooms at the school level that have been equipped with furniture and IT equipment." She highlighted the particular utility for the primary cycle, where all classrooms now feature smart boards, enabling interactive activities across all subjects.Daniela Hojda, Director of "Emilia Lungu" Izvin Gymnasium School, whose 12 classrooms also received new furniture and IT equipment, echoed these sentiments. "This funding, this project, its implementation, represents one of the elements that any school in our country needs," she said. "A project where we have 21st-century furniture and IT equipment helps us, of course, in the educational act, helps us offer a school as our students deserve at this moment." She extended gratitude to the Recaș City Hall representatives for their efforts. In the near future, both educational units will also acquire didactic materials for laboratories, psychological counseling offices, and language and communication cabinets. Furthermore, sports halls will be equipped with necessary sports materials. The total value of one of these projects exceeds 2.1 million lei, with a significant community contribution.
