Three Hectares of Land Engulfed in Flames in Nădrag: Firefighters Mobilized

Nădrag, Timiș County – A substantial forest fire broke out yesterday, June 18, 2025, in the Nădrag commune, consuming approximately three hectares of land, specifically a fir seedling nursery. The incident prompted an immediate and extensive response from emergency services.According to officials from ISU Timiș (Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Timiș), firefighters from the Lugoj Detachment were alerted to the blaze. A service special vehicle and two fire trucks equipped with extinguishing containers, one from Făget Station, were mobilized to the scene. Additionally, local volunteer firefighters from Nădrag commune and representatives from the Forestry Department provided crucial support in combating the flames.The fire, which spread across a significant area, resulted in considerable damage to the forest fund. Authorities are continuing their efforts to fully extinguish the remaining embers and assess the total impact of the inferno.
