Wrocław's Iconic Trzonolinowiec Building to Undergo Extensive Renovation Wrocław, Poland – The distinctive Trzonolinowiec building, a modernist architectural marvel constructed in the 1960s, is set to undergo a much-needed renovation. A recent assessment revealed the building's structural condition to be severely deteriorated, necessitating immediate action. The renovation, approved by the city's historical preservation authorities, is expected to cost several million zlotys. "This is one of the few buildings in Europe whose structure is supported by 12 cables connected by a reinforced concrete core," explained Seweryn Chwale, the building's manager. "The renovation will be costly, but essential to preserve this unique piece of architectural history." The renovation project is anticipated to commence next year. Its completion will ensure the preservation of this iconic building for generations to come, safeguarding a significant piece of Wrocław's architectural heritage. The project's scale and cost highlight the challenges involved in maintaining such a unique structure. However, the commitment to preserving the Trzonolinowiec underscores the city's dedication to its architectural legacy.
