Lavapies Police Chase Ends in Dramatic Crash

A high-speed police chase in the Lavapies neighborhood of Madrid ended dramatically on June 6th, 2025, when a gray BMW, carrying five young people, crashed into a tree on Avenida de los Poblados. The vehicle had earlier struck several traffic signs and a lamppost, leaving a trail of destruction. "The car was completely destroyed," reported Telemadrid journalist, pointing to the scattered car parts. Three of the occupants were apprehended, while two managed to escape. Police found two machetes inside the vehicle. The incident has raised concerns about youth gangs in the area.
